Valentine’s Red Velvet Whoopie Pies

It’s the most romantic day of the year and we have a great recipe with Authentic Greek Yogurt that you can use to make everyone fall in love with you!

Ingredients

  • For the filling:
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • a tablespoon powdered sugar
  • For the dough:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • half a teaspoon of baking powder
  • half a teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Ayran
  • a tablespoon of red food jelly
  • Instructions

  • In a bowl, add the flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt and mix.
  • In another bowl, beat the butter, sugar, ayran, vanilla and egg and finally add the color. In the bowl with the liquids add the mixture from the bowl with the solids.
  • Stir until the mixture is homogeneous and transfer it to an icing-bag.In a pan with baking paper, we draw hearts with the help of a hoop.
  • With the nose of the icing-bag, we draw two lines within limits in the shape of V.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 degrees.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the filling.In a bowl pour the yogurt, cream cheese and the powdered sugar and mix until smooth.
  • Once the heart cookies are cool, fill half of them with yogurt filling and use the other half as lids.
  • Enjoy it with your loved ones!
