Deep in the heart of the well-known North Greece pasturelands we find Koufalia and the milk processing plant of MEVGAL.

The freshness and premium quality of the raw materials are reflected in the wide range of pasteurised dairy products: milk, yogurts (both traditional Greek and European ), cheeses, desserts and rice puddings.

Founded in 1950, today the company provides employment to 650 people in Koufalia, as well as other locations in the country. MEVGAL collaborates with hundreds of local farmers and has developed long-term relationships with several local organizations.

The MEVGAL brand is synonymous to Authentic Greek high quality dairy products!

MEVGAL started exporting in 1985 and today its products travel to more than 30 countries, with exports accounting for 35% of the company's total turnover.

More than 30 countries

Today, 1 in 5 yogurts that Greece exports are produced by MEVGAL. The company owns a significant share in the Greek Yogurt category in the markets from Europe to America and Asia.

The exported product range varies from the “all -time” favorite plain authentic greek yogurt, to the more specialized ones, such as fruit yogurts, lactose free yogurts, yogurts with super foods, with enhanced protein or with more elaborate flavors.

MEVGAL participates in the most important international food and beverage Trade Shows such as Anuga (Germany), Sial (France), Fancy Food (USA), where it presents its traditional products and new tasting suggestions that respond to modern food trends.

MEVGAL follows the clean label trend, which means that yogurts and cheeses do not contain preservatives, artificial colorings or flavorings.

MEVGAL’s products have won international innovation awards, such as the Innovation Award Wabel 2017 for the Lactose Free Yogurt in Paris and the Taste and Innovation Award for Harmony Gourmet Yogurt with Mint and Dark Chocolate in "Anuga Taste Innovation" in Cologne, Germany.

At the same time, many of its products have been distinguished by getting a three-star taste award by the International Taste & Quality Institute (ITQI) in Brussels.
