Dubai Yogurt Ice-Cream

This easy frozen dessert is a creamy, yogurt-based alternative to traditional ice cream, perfect for hot summer days. Naturally sweet and quick to prepare, it features a delicious Dubai-style chocolate coating that adds a rich, indulgent touch while letting you enjoy the benefits of yogurt in every chilled bite.

Ingredients

  • For the Ice Cream:
  • ½ cup pistachio praline
  • ⅓ cup roasted kadaifi
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3 teaspoons sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • For the Garnish:
  • 150g plain chocolate, melted
  • 50g crushed peanuts
  • Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe banana with a fork until smooth.
  • Add yogurt, pistachio praline, sweetened condensed milk, and honey. Stir until the mixture is well-combined and smooth.
  • Gently fold in the roasted kadaifi to maintain its texture.
  • Spoon the mixture into ice cream molds and place in the freezer for at least 5 hours at -22°C, or until fully frozen.
  • Once frozen, remove the ice cream from the molds. Dip each one into the melted chocolate, then immediately sprinkle with crushed peanuts.
  • Allow the chocolate to set, then serve immediately or return to the freezer until ready to enjoy.
